Saxophone Playing

I currently play with Carmen Ghia and the Hotrods, a 6 piece Rockin, Boppin, Swinging and Jumping inspired by the great R&B artists of the 50's From Ruth Brown to James Brown we'll have you dancing all night long! Check out the website at www.carmenghiahotrods.co.uk

I also have a love of Big Band music, from the classic Ellington and Miller charts through to modern arrangements by Victor Lopez and Gordon Goodwin. I have always played with Big Bands when possible, including the Sizzlers Swing Orchestra, Henley-Farrell Big Band, Colin Yates Big Band, Keith Peters Big Band, and Hornography.

Aside from the Jazz, I play Baritone Sax for the Silver Spectrum Community Concert Band based in Walkley, Soprano sax for the Ball Saxophone Quartet, and can also be found (when time allows) doing solo saxophone classical recitals. Particular favourites of mine are the Glazunov Saxophone Concerto, and Milhaud's Scaramouche Suite
