I don't get much time to ride my bike, the good lady Carmen Ghia makes sure of that, but when I do, the Peak District is my area of choice. It really is nice out there, with some of the most picturesque and brutal climbing in the country. Anyone who has ever been up my personal favourite, Mam Nick, will recognise the wheezy, straining grunts as you hit the steep bit!
